Nail Fraud Wild Thing

Hello Everyone!
Long time no post...I'm sorry!

Anyway, today I have for you some really cute nail appliques by Nail Fraud. These are called Wild Thing.

These are so cute and were so easy to apply. They are stretchy which is great because they will fit any nail shape perfectly. The wear was great too. These lasted about a week. I have seen these sold at Ulta and definitely recommend giving them a try!

Hope everyone has a happy and safe July 4th!

Here is Borrowed & Blue from Essie's Spring 2011 collection.
This polish is a pale baby blue.

I absolutely love this polish. It's my favorite pale blue polish hands down. Application was great and this is two coats. I definitely recommend this to everyone who loves pale blue polishes.

OPI Steady As She Rose

Hello everyone!
It's been a while since I posted, but no worries, I'm still here!

Today I have for you Steady As She Rose from OPI's recent Pirates of the Caribbean collection.
This polish is a dusty pale purple and is so pretty!

I decided to add some pretty butterfly water decals from Viva La Nails to give it a little more oomph.

These are the water decals. I just love them! So easy to put on and super cute!

Steady As She Rose had great application! This was two easy coats. This is a really great understated polish and is perfect for when you need a quiet manicure. This is also a pretty unique color, so it's a definite must have!

Zoya Sunshine Collection

Hello everyone! Today I have for you one of my favorite collections of the summer - Zoya's Sunshine Collection.
This is a collection of six fabulous sparkle polishes all with similar hint of gold shimmer. Very pretty!!

Kimmy- A shimmering candy apple red with a touch of gold sparkle.

Faye - A bronzed purple with gold sparkle. Love Faye! This polish is very unique to my collection.

Tanzy- A juicy tangerine orange with glowing gold sparkle. This polish is perfect for summer -definitely a must have!

Apple- A glowing apple green with gold sparkle. This polish has been compared to Zoya Midori, but the two are very different. Apple has much more shimmer and is a brighter green. Yummy name and color!

Rica- A coral pink with gold sparkle. This is such a bright cherry polish. I just love it! One of my top favorites from the collection.

Reva- A raspberry red with gold sparkle.

All in all this is a wonderful collection. The colors are gorgeous and unique. They literally glow on your fingers which makes the Sunshine Collection perfect for summer.

Whats your favorite polish from this collection?

Zoya Summertime Collection

Today I have for you swatches of the fabulous Summertime collection from Zoya. This collection consists of 6 gorgeous cremes that all applied flawlessly.

Kieko - A light berry purple. This is a great summer purple!

Mira - A medium purple with blue undertones. Really pretty color and reminds me a lot of China Glaze's Grape Pop.

Breezi - A dusty medium blue. This photographed much brighter than it looks in real life. Still a great color!

Areej - A soft fuchsia pink. Love this color! Such a pretty summer pink.

Sooki - A bright blood red. I love this one because of the name. I am a huge True Blood fan and just love it! This is a perfect red.

I passed on Tamsen because it looked very similar to Sooki and the color didn't really do anything for me.

All in all this is a great collection. I wouldn't have really thought of these colors to be summer colors, but they actually work. Formula was great as is with most Zoya polishes. Definitely recommend this to everyone! What's your favorite color from this collection??

Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips - Fly With Me

Today I have for you one of my favorite nail things, Sally Hansen polish strips. Here is a really cute style called Fly With Me.

I love all the different colors in this design! I have been wearing these all week and have had no "chips" or tears. These are just perfect for a long week when I'm not able to polish my nails. Definitely a must have!
Check out my my posts about other designs here!!

Orly Royal Velvet

Hello everyone!!
Today I have for you Royal Velvet from Orly's Spring '11 Precious collection.

Royal Velvet is a gorgeous deep purple base with an amazing blue duochrome. It applied wonderfully and this is 2 coats. At first I wasn't excited about this polish, but after seeing some swatches I really wanted to try it. It did not disappoint! It just glows on the nails! Definitely a unique polish in my collection.

China Glaze Sexagon

Today I have for you an amazing holograph polish from China Glaze's Kaleidoscope collection. Here is Sexagon a silver scattered holo!

This is 2 coats and applied wonderfully! Sexagon is such a beautiful polish! I couldn't stop staring at it. Some polishes just speak for themselves and this is one of them!

Zoya Mod Matte Collection Swatches

Today I have for you the 3 new matte polishes from Zoya. These swatches might be helpful to those of you who are participating in their exchange promotion!

Phoebe - A bright blue shimmer matte. This polish was my favorite from the collection! It applied great and this is two coats. It's so eye catching and fun!

Lolly - A fuschia pink matte. I love this name! This one applied decently. With mattes sometimes it is hard to get an even finish, but this did fine. This is 2 coats.

Mitzi - A lime green matte. I absolutely hated this one! It applied horribly. I could not get it to even out and apply nicely. The color also isn't very flattering. I'd pass on this one!

OPI Sorbets

I am truly loving the sorbets from OPI's Texas collection. I have already posted about Y'all Come Back Ya Hear? and Too Hot Pink To Hold 'Em, so here are the rest!

Guy Meets Gal-veston - This is a gorgeous red orange jelly.

Houston We Have a Purple - A yummy berry jelly.

Do You Think I'm Tex-y? - A pinkish red jelly.

I did not include Big Hair Big Nails because it was way to similar to Guy Meets Gal-veston. These all applied extremely well and are 2 coats. I really hope OPI does some more sorbet polishes for future collections!

Zoya Jenine

Quick post for today! Here is Zoya Jenine a medium pink shimmer.

Application was great and this is 2 coats. I really love this pink. It's so bright and pretty. The shimmer really adds a great effect. Perfect for spring!

OPI Y'all Come Back Ya Hear?

As I have mentioned in a previous post I am in love with OPI's new sorbets! I am also loving orange this season, so it goes without saying that I adore OPI Y'all Come Back Ya Hear? This polish is a tangerine orange jelly.

First, here is the gradient I did!

I feel like the sorbets from the Texas collection go together really well and would work perfectly for a gradient. I started with YCBYH and then used Guy Meets Galveston as my middle color and Do You Think I'm Texy as my tip color. I think this looks so tropical and juicy! A yummy summer mani!

Here is Y'all Come Back Ya Hear? on its own. This was very sheer compared to the others, so I did 3 coats. This polish is juicy orange love!

On a side note I just started a new job, so I may not be able to post as frequently. I used to work part-time retail and am now doing full-time corporate - my first grown up job! So it may take me a few weeks to get used to it and find time for updating. I will definitely still be posting, just not as much :)

Orly Fancy Fuchsia

Today I have for you Fancy Fuchsia from Orly's recent Precious collection. This polish is a bright, almost neon pink.

For this mani I stamped the flowers using Bundle Monster plate BM10 and Nicole by OPI's My Lifesaver as my polish. I then taped off my nails and painted the diagonal tips using the same blue polish. Then I added a few pink pearls!

I really love this polish! Great application and this is 2 coats. It dries with almost a satin finish, but I prefer it with topcoat. Really a unique bright pink!

China Glaze Tickle My Triangle

I recently acquired some fabulous polishes from the China Glaze Kaleidoscope collection. These are my first true gorgeous holo polishes and now I finally see what all the fuss is about. Today I have for you Tickle My Triangle, a medium pink scattered holo.

So pretty! Application was amazing and this is 2 coats. One of those polishes I couldn't stop looking at.
I must honestly say that my Kaleidoscope polishes put the Tronica collection to shame. I still don't get why China Glaze (who is obviously capable of creating amazing holos) failed miserably with Tronica. It's almost like they did it as a joke or something. Let's all just hope that maybe one day CG will get their holo act together!

OPI Austin-tatious Turquoise

Just a simple swatch for today! Here is OPI Austin-tatious Turquoise. This polish is a bright shimmery blue with a slight purple duochrome.

I was really excited about this color in the bottle, but it was a little disappointing on the nail. The color seemed very dull and washed out. Also, the duochrome was not very apparent. Application was good, but the formula was very thin so this is 3 coats. Pretty color, but could have been much better.
Were any of you disappointed with this polish too?

China Glaze Life Preserver

Today I have for you another favorite of mine from the China Glaze Anchors Away collection - Life Preserver. This polish is a bright poppy orange creme.

Here it is with a little Konad. I used plate M62 and Sally Hansen Color Quick polish pen in Gold Chrome. Reminds me of flames!

Life Preserver applied extremely well! This is 2 coats. In the bottle the polish looks like a burnt orange, but on the nails it is much more vibrant. I definitely don't have anything like this in my collection! A must have for all orange lovers!

Tropical Eye

I haven't posted a makeup look in forever, so I decided to post a fun one today! Also, it's good to switch it up every now and again. This eye was inspired by a tropical themed Betsey Johnson necklace I have.

Products used:
Primer and Base - Too Faced Shadow Insurance and NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow pencil in Milk
Inner Corner (purple) - L'Oreal HIP in Reckless
Lid (blue) - L'Oreal HIP in Showy
Crease (brown) - MAC Texture
Upper Liner (gold) - MAC Superslick Liquid eyeliner in Pure Show
Lower Liner - Benefit Bad Gal liner in black
Lashes - Benefit Bad Gal mascara in black

I rarely post eye looks anymore because I'm not sure if you all want to see them. So please let me know would you like to see more eye looks?

OPI Simply Smash-ing! + Crackle Glaze

Today I have for your Simply Smash-ing! from OPI's recent collaboration with Serena Williams. This polish is a lime green shimmer with a hint of gold to it. Very reminiscent of a tennis ball!

Application was great and this is 2 coats. This is a really bright and fun polish for the spring!

I wanted to add crackle, but instead of OPI's crackle I used China Glaze Cracked Concrete. I really like the gray crackle! It crackled a lot which is important because you can still see your base polish. Loves it!

Zoya Marley + Purple Sprinkles

Hello everyone!
Today I have for you Marley from Zoya's Intimate collection. Marley is a delicate lilac creme with a subtle pearl shimmer.

Application was interesting. The polish was a bit thick and every time I went to even out the polish it would drag the first layer off causing gross lumps. I eventually figured it out and got it to look decent. Very pretty color, but a pain to apply!

I then decided to add some pretty glitter! I used Purple Sprinkles from the Hello Kitty line at Sephora. I had been wanting to use this polish, but wanted to layer it on top of a pretty purple. As you can see Purple Sprinkles is a blueberry purple base loaded with tons of different shaped iridescent glitter. Very pretty!

Misa Touch the Rainbow + Crackle Glaze

Today I have for you Touch the Rainbow from Misa's recent Wishes collection. This polish is a gorgeous pale blue with a light blue shimmer.

Application was good. The formula is a bit thick though, but I can deal. This is 2 coats. The shimmer is much more noticeable in real life. It's so hard to capture! I'm really loving pale blues this spring and so far this is one of my favorites!

I decided to add some crackle, so I used one coat of China Glaze Black Mesh. I really like the contrast between the two colors!
